Our Story
Lillian's Place, Inc. is a new multi-species rescue. We are currently working on our 501(c)(3) designation. We have rescued privately for over 30 years and worked closely with many other non-profit rescues in our area. In addition to rescue, we are starting and maintaining a community pet food & supply bank. In these challenging times, a bag of food or litter can mean the difference between a pet being surrendered or staying with their loving family.
Lillian's Place, Inc. is dedicated to the memory of U-CDX Misty Morning's Lady Lillian, CDX, CGC, TDI. Lillian came home at 8 weeks, weighing just 8 pounds. Unable to stand or walk for any length of time. She choked to death on kibble and was revived. She went on to become my all time heart dog. There was no sport she couldn't do: obedience, agility, rally, lure coursing etc. The year she obtained her CDX she was one of only 5 Boxers in the country to accomplish this and was ranked in the top ten. She was trained through Utility but passed away before we could complete her titles. Lillian also excelled as my personal protection dog and therapy dog, doing thousands of therapy visits and public demonstrations. She is still loved and missed!
